William H. Morris: April 15, 1934 – Feb. 15, 2021

William Howard Morris peacefully entered into eternal rest on Feb. 15, 2021. He is joining his wife of 50 years Dolores B. Morris.

William was born in Anacortes, Wash., to mother Ester (Libby) Morris and father William P. Morris. William went to Coupeville Consolidated High School until entering into the Air Force in April 1955. His main service was at Paine Field, Wash., with a stretch overseas in France. He served honorably with the 37th consolidated aircraft maintenance squadron until he was discharged honorably Aug. 11, 1961.

William was married to Dolores Morris. Together they raised their blended family. William is survived by his children Patricia Morris and her husband Phillip, Richard Morris and his wife Mary, Barbara Thompson and her husband Dennis, Robert Vassar and his wife Karen, along with countless grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Most of William’s friends and family knew he was an avid outdoorsman. William was always happiest doing what he loved, hunting and fishing in the Pacific Northwest. In his later years you could always find him fishing off the beach across from Crockett Lake.

There will be a memorial from noon to 2 p.m. July 31, 2021 at the Tyee Restaurant in Coupeville. Light hors d’oeuvres will be served; come join the family for a time of remembrance of William’s life.
