Wayne Reed, 89, a longtime resident of Whidbey Island, passed away October 16, 2012 at Providence Medical Center in Everett. He was born in Burlington September 15, 1923 and graduated from Burlington High School in 1942.

Wayne went into the Army during WWII and spent 1 ½ years in Europe.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Marie Reed, his 10 brothers and sisters, his wife Doris and step-son Mike (Connie) Sullivan. He is survived by step-children; Pat (Gertrude) Sullivan, Susan (Robert) Fakkema, nieces Debbie Daily and Sandy Osier and nephew Tom Reed.

A graveside service for Wayne will be held at Maple Leaf Cemetery on Saturday, October 27that 2:00 PM with military honors.
