Virginia Ann Grant, 78, died Oct. 10, 2002, at Whidbey General Hospital. She was born Nov. 23, 1923, in Los Angeles, daughter to Adolph and Verneta Ann Scweinforth.

Mrs. Grant had lived on Whidbey Island for the past 15 years, and was a member of the Oak Harbor Yacht Club.

Her husband, Kenneth J. Grant of Oak Harbor; one sister-in-law, Joyce Forth of Knoxville, Tenn.; and life-long friend, Alice Huber of Anacortes, survive her.
