Trent Trimaine Scribner

Trent Trimaine Scribner was born November 2, 1969 and died April 2, 2013.

He was graduated from Oak Harbor High School in 1988. The following fall he went to Orange County Community College in Southern California so he could join their rowing program. Finding that he couldn’t reach the scull when his 6’4” rowing mates held it over their heads, he returned to Washington.

Trent went to work at Cascade Joinery, a timber framing company in Bellingham, where he worked for twelve years making many lifelong friends.

He moved to Homer, Alaska to work for Russ Walker, owner of Alaska Timber Frame, where he designed, cut, and raised timber frames. He loved Alaska in all aspects: the cold, the people, the wildlife, the fishing, and his residence in Homer.

Trent is survived by parents Trimaine & Marjorie Scribner, his sister Carianna (John) Gischer, and two nieces Shea and Delaney, his Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. Also surviving are dear friends Carrie, Emma, Greg, Cole, Kelli, Laura, Dylan, Ted, Brenda, Brian and many others. Trent was preceded in death by his beloved dog Ella.

A Celebration of Life for Trent will be held Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 11:00 am at Wallin Funeral Home with Life Celebrant, Linda Haddon, officiating.
