He was preceded in death by his father, John L. Tate, Sr. and brother Kenneth W. Tate.
He leaves behind mother Joan Tate, brother and sister-in-law James and Lynn Tate, brother and sister-in-law John and Stephanie Tate, two nieces, Neckole and Summer Tate, and nephew Zach Tate.
