Tom was born March 5, 1949, in Kansas City, Mo., and passed away July 11, 2011, at his home in Oak Harbor. He is survived by his wife Marsha of 43 years, two sons Tom and Drew, two grandchildren Spencer and Bijoe and several cousins.

After attending Worth County High School in Grant City, Mo., he proudly joined and served his country in the United States Navy.

He will be remembered by friends as a brooding, scowling cantankerous loving cowboy, and by his family as grandpa, teacher, best friend, dad and husband. He will be forever loved and missed.

There will be a celebration of Tom’s life on Saturday, Aug. 6, at twilight at City Beach, Oak Harbor. Donations may be made in Tom’s name to the American Heart Association.
