Steven Morgan Taylor, 44, formerly of Oak Harbor, died Jan. 12, 2006, in Port Orchard from many contributing factors. Steve was involved in an auto accident in early 2005 with life-threatening injuries. He had many complications and numerous surgeries.
He was born Jan. 16, 1961, in Bellingham to Ray and Beverly (Bergum) Taylor. Steve was raised in Oak Harbor and graduated from Oak Harbor High School in 1979. He was a salesman for Berg Ford in Oak Harbor and later worked for Diehl Ford in Bellingham, where he was one of their top salesmen.
Steve was finance and sales manager for Gig Harbor Ford in Gig Harbor and Bay Ford in Port Orchard. He received many awards from Ford Lincoln Mercury for his top salesmanship and rapport with people. Steve’s hobbies were antique and classic cars and camping in his motor home.
Steve is survived by his wife Sarah, whom he married on May 24, 2004; son Zachary, 11, whom he always referred to as a blessing and the love of his life; his mother Beverly Taylor of Bellingham; father Ray Taylor of Oak Harbor; sister Suzi (Kent) Thomazin; nieces Kassie and Katie; and first wife Leslie Taylor.
A service will be held Saturday, Jan. 21, at 1 p.m. at Rill Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard.
