Sonja L. Clark went to be with the Lord on May 2, 2018 at the age of 83. Born on Orcas Island, on June 13, 1934 to Betty Jean Johnson and Arthur Johnson, she spent most of her childhood growing up in Bellingham and graduated from Catholic high school in Seattle.

She married James E. Clark February 12, 1955 and raised her family in Coupeville. She spent many years as a telephone operator at South Whidbey Telephone Co. and retired from GTE, Everett.

Her brothers Melvin Johnson, Morris Johnson and sister Constance preceded her in death. She leaves behind a daughter, Lisa Jones, of Camano Island, sons Tommy (Patti) Clark of Valley, Wash., and Steven Clark of Everett, 4 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and a pampered pet named Charlie Rose.

She will be buried at Sunnyside Cemetery in Coupeville. Private graveside service. Fly with the hummingbirds, mom.
