Russell Kenworthy

Russell Steven Kenworthy, 63, of Clinton, died May 6, 2002, at his home following a long and courageous battle with cancer and emphysema.

He was born Sept. 15, 1938, in Morton to Russell Charles and Mary Iva Kenworthy.

Mr. Kenworthy served in the National Guard and the Air Force. He was station with the Air Force for a number of years in Berlin. After leaving the service, he worked for Boeing for more than 30 years, retiring due to health reasons in 1998.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Dorothy; a son, Shawn Kenworthy and wife Lynda of Clinton; two daughters, Teresa Martin and husband John of Oak Harbor and Karen Hamlin and husband Gary of Marysville; three stepsons, Bill Tuffree, Edwin Tuffree and Robert Tuffree, all of Grays Harbor; and grandchildren Renee and Travis Kenworthy, Jaclyn and Jamie Martin, Jacob Hamlin and Danielle Tuffree.

He is also survived by a sister, Mary Maben of Gresham, Ore., and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held today, May 11, at 2 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Langley. Graveside dedication will follow at Bayview Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to bring memories to the service.
