Roy G. Button, 73, formerly of Oak Harbor and most recently of Peoria, Ariz., passed away at home on May 24, 2010. Roy was the kind of man you could talk to about anything. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Roy helped many people prepare resumes, find housing and better their bowling games. His family is very proud of his service in the military. He was a retired Master Chief who notably commanded a gun boat during the Vietnam War.

Roy had a large extended family. In 1974 he married Sheila Button who preceded him in death in 1984. Roy is survived by his daughter Jacki Wyatt (Fred) and son, Mark Hoefer. His other family and children reside in Arizona and Utah. Roy was truly blessed to experience the love his wife Esparanza and her family bestowed upon him. A mass was be held Friday, June 4 in Peoria.
