Robert (Bob) Lanphere, formerly of Bayview, died Feb. 18, 2007, in Spokane from heart failure following lung surgery.
Bob was born Sept. 4, 1936 in Coupeville to Benjamin and Ruth Arnew Lanphere of Greenbank.
Bob attended Coupeville Schools. He had a logging operation on Whidbey Island for many years. Bob loved spending time with his family, fishing, hunting, working jigsaw puzzles, visiting and cheering on his grandchildren in their sport activities.
He was preceded in death by his parents and son Robert (Bobby) Kim.
He is survived by his wife Marge of Spokane; sons, Ronny and wife Sandy of Newman Lake, Wash., and Danny of Everett; daughter, Dina Winner and husband Alex of Spokane; five grandsons, three granddaughters and three great-grandchildren; brothers, Ben and wife Karen and Glenn and wife Marilyn, both of Sedro-Woolley; sisters, Evelyn Fountain of Coupeville, Peggy Lall and husband Dexter of Royal City, Wash., Hazel Riley and husband Jack of Ozawkie, Kansas; and many nephews and nieces.

A celebration of Bob’s life will be held Monday, Feb. 26, at 11 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 21022 East Wellesley Ave, Otis Orchards, Wash., 99027.
