Raymond Lee Dickey: September 24, 1935 – August 10, 2022

Raymond Lee Dickey, 86, of Mount Vernon, WA passed away peacefully on August 10, 2022.

Raymond was born on September 24, 1935, in Fort Dick, CA. Raymond spent his childhood in the woods of Northern California and Southern Oregon where his family was actively involved in the logging industry. After graduating high school, Raymond enlisted in the United States Navy, serving with distinction for 25 years. Following his Navy retirement, he began a second career working in civil service at NAS Whidbey. Following his final retirement, Raymond enjoyed his time with his family and pursuing his interests.

Raymond was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also enjoyed polishing rocks and making jewelry with his lapidary set. He loved baseball and football and enjoyed watching the Mariners and Seahawks games. Most of all, Raymond loved spending time with his family, watching his children and grandchildren grow.

Raymond is survived by his wife Charlene, son Derek (Lupe), son Ryan (Severa), his grandchildren Derek (Sara), Whitney (Rob), Wyatt and Bryson. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren Jaxson, Charlee, and Mia as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents David and Ellen, brothers Leon and Calvin, and sisters Linda and Barbara. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
