Patricia Wallace

Patricia Chaplin Wallace died Nov. 2, 2013 at Whidbey General Hospital surround by Family.

Born Dec. 8, 1919, in Clearfield, Pa., she was the daughter of Jeanne Shaw Chaplin and Adam Clark Dale Chaplin.

Known as Pat, she attended schools in Pennsylvania. She married Bishop Leslie Wallace in 1940.

They lived in Arlington, Va., before moving to Oak Harbor in 1983. They had two children.

Pat is survived by her children, Juliette Louise Wallace of Oak Harbor and Andrew Ellerslie Wallace and wife Kathy Poole Wallace and one grandaughter, Jaimie Leigh, all of Fairfax, Va.; one niece, Mary Riordan and husband John, of Catonsville Md.

She is also survived by one sister, Julie Chaplin Dragavon; and one brother Alan Clark Dale Chaplin and wife Sarah Chandler Chaplin; and five nephews Stephen (Brenda), Philip, David of California; Paul Shaw Chaplin of Texas; and Mark Dragavon of Oak Harbor.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Michael Shaw Chaplin, who passed in 1995.

There are no services here. A private family service will be held at a later date in Clearfield, where she will be buried next to her beloved husband.

Pat was famous for her beautifully designed Nordic-style sweaters.

There were some 250 of them, all cataloged along with pictures. These were usually done with one of her many favorite schnauzer dogs in her lap.
