Norman Spencer Ferrier passed away at his home in Mineola, Texas on Sept. 30, 2009, at the age of 64. He was born in Ridley Park, Penn., on March 20, 1945. Norman was a graduate of Oak Harbor High School, served in the U.S. Air Force and lived most of his life on Whidbey Island.

Norman was preceeded in death by his mother, Emma Jane Ferrier (Burbank) and his sister, Rebecca. He is survived by his father, Norman B. Ferrier of Oak Harbor; sisters, Ellen Vrbas of Oak Harbor and Margaret Miller of Olathe, Kan.; his sons, Norman J. Ferrier of Union Gap, Wash., and Spencer W. Ferrier of Portland, Ore.; grandchildren Samantha, Billie-Jean, Jessica, Norman, Ian and Lennon; and five nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at Oak Harbor Lutheran Church on Saturday, Oct. 17, at 1 p.m. All who wish to pay their respects may join us.
