Ned Papenfus passed away Aug. 17, 2018. While always having a love of airplanes, he attended Cal Poly, graduating with a bachelor’s of science in aerospace engineering. Following graduation, he was employed with Boeing in Everett, while also attending Seattle University, earning his MBA. Ned retired from Boeing as chief engineer 747/767 programs after 29 years. While working, and following his retirement, he was involved in a variety of community services.
Ned was preceded in death by his parents Earl and Marcelite Papenfus, and stepson James Sittnick. Ned is survived by his loving wife Michelle A. Papenfus, children Eric and Michelle, stepdaughter Donna and husband Stephen Holstad, grandsons James and Jared Holstad, brother Sheldon and wife Penny, and nieces, Tracy and Amy. He will be missed by all those who loved him.
