Nathanial V. Byrne, 72, a very proud career Marine, loved and respect by many friends and his close family, died April 21, 2005, after a lengthy illness. Nat was born Jan. 26, 1933 in Wewoka, Okla.
Memorial services will be held at Burley Funeral Chapel Monday, April 25, at 11 a.m. Cmdr. Fred H Renfroe, CHC, U.S. Navy (retired) will officiate. Nat was preceded in death Nov. 17, 1997, by his beloved wife Tamiyo Byrne. Cremation was held and private family interment will follow in Waxahachie, Texas, where Nat will be interred next to Tamiyo.
He is survived by sisters, Fay Byrne Bassham of Richardson, Texas, and Mable Byrne Tolleson and her husband, Jean, of Westminster, Calif.; sisters-in-law Lola Byrne of DeSoto, Texas, Doris Byrne Love of Mineola, Kan., and Sugar Byrne of Lancaster, Texas; and nieces and nephews, Roy and Janet Bassham of Dallas, Texas, Greg and Tina Tolleson of Irvine, Calif., Judy Tolleson of Westminster, Calif., and Lee Noe of Houston, Texas.
Nat was honored to have a wonderful network of friends whom he loved dearly.
