Michael Glen Fleming, 48, longtime Oak Harbor resident, passed away at Whidbey General Hospital on Wednesday, July 18, 2012, following a lengthy illness.

Mr. Fleming was born in Chula Vista, Calif., on March 23, 1964, to Benjamin Lee and Darlene (Woodburn) Fleming. He moved with his family to Oak Harbor in 1968. Michael attended Oak Harbor schools, graduating from Oak Harbor High School in 1984.

Michael is survived by his mother, Darlene R. Fleming of Oak Harbor; three daughters; brother Benjamin E. Fleming of Maple Valley; sister Charisse L. Hemingway of Mount Vernon; several nieces and nephews; also, by his very loving partner and caregiver, Marta Tucker. He was preceded in death by his father, Benjamin Lee Fleming.
