MGYSGT Norman Gary Walters (USMC Ret.): June 28, 1937 – Dec. 8, 2020

Born in Tacoma, Wash., to Ellen (nee Hansen) and Don Walters. Survivors include wife gini; brother David (Angie); son Jon (Wendy) Ehrhard; daughter Nadine (Darrel) Potter; their families and extended family.

Predeceased by his parents; daughter Donalee Ehrhard Dixon; and son Jeffrey Ehrhard.

Norman enlisted at MCRD, San Diego, Calif., in 1958. He loved being a Marine and was proud of his 30 years of service. He retired in 1988, also in San Diego.

His other passion was golf. He achieved every golfers dream — a hole in one — twice.

Norman passed peacefully into his next journey. His last months were spent at HomePlace Burlington. It was with their attentiveness that he was cared for. Hospice of the Northwest was also involved with his care.

Norman was a disabled vet. If you wish, you may honor him with a donation to Disabled American Veterans Chapter 47 3037 N. Goldie Road, Oak Harbor, WA 98277, or Hospice of the Northwest Foundation 227 Freeway Dr., Mount Vernon, WA 98273.
