Mary Cornwell Domman

Mary Cornwell Domman, 90, passed away at her home in, Spring, Texas, on July 2, 2006 in the arms of her loving husband of 30 years, Bernard Domman, and surrounded by her caring family. She was born September 28, 1915 in Pheobus, Va. She was preceded in death by her grandson Paul Thomas Cornwell, Jr.

She worked for the U.S. Government in Washington, D.C. until moving to Orlando in 1956 with her first husband, Herbert Cornwell, where she worked for Martin Marietta, until retirement.

After 10 years of widowhood, she relocated to Oak Harbor where she met and married Bernard, in 1978. Throughout their marriage they were able to travel, visiting such places as Hawaii and Australia. Mary was active with her church, St. Augustine’s, for many years while living in Oak Harbor. She and Bernard moved to Houston in 2000 for better medical care.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Joann Hoffmaster and her husband David, of La Plata, Md.; her sons, Joseph Cornwell, Osteen and Paul Cornwell and his wife Beverly, of Orlando; and her daughter Peggy Parten-Jabr and her husband Rizik of Spring. God blessed her with a large and loving family, including 14 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and one brand new great, great granddaughter.

Visitation is from 4 to 6 p.m. with a Prayer Service beginning at 6 p.m. on Monday, July 10, at the Carey Hand Cox-Parker Funeral Home. Funeral Mass is at 9 a.m. Tuesday, July 11 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Orlando, Fla. Her final resting place will be Woodlawn Memorial Park, Gotha, Fla.
