Marilyn Mae (Ogden) Losee

Marilyn Mae (Ogden) Losee of Oak Harbor was born to Carl and Viola Mae (Worster) Ogdeen July 8, 1928, in Seattle, and entered into rest Nov. 19, 2004, in her daughter’s home in Oak Harbor with loved ones at her side.

Marily was a 1946 graduate of Queen Anne High School in Seattle. Marilyn was also privileged to be selected as a member of the Court of Honor for the 1952 Seafair parade and celebration in Seattle. Marilyn worked for Pacific Northwest Bell from 1946 to 1955. Following her career at Pacific Northwest Bell, Marilyn devoted herself to raising her daughter and son. Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Beck of Oak Harbor; son Timothy Robert Losee of Marysville; and granddaughter Jennifer (Ryan) Walker and husband Cameron of Woodinville. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother Richard Ogden. Private family services were held. Marilyn’s family wishes to express their deep and sincere thanks to all the friends and caregivers who helped both her and her family during her illness.

Marilyn’s children have this reflection: Mom’s strong desire to live was an inspiration to many as she bravely perservered against advanced cancer for 15 remarkable years. There were those who commented they truly believed that an angel was with her throughout her ordeal. Now we know this to be so. Sweet dreams dearest Mom.
