Lowell Leslie Scalf of Coupeville. died in his sleep on Jan. 8, 2018. He was 89 years old.

Lowell was born on Aug. 21, 1928 in Canada. He loved his family’s farm as a young child and later enjoyed his years as a smoke jumper in Oregon.

Lowell married the love of his life, Vira Jean, in 1956. They were married for 51 years. She preceded him in death in 2007.

Lowell’s true passion was telling others about the Bible. He was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1958.

Lowell was the second youngest of seven children. He is survived by two brothers; Virgil (age 97) and Eugene (age 95).

A memorial service will be held at the Coupeville Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 331 W. Morris Road, Coupeville. Date and time to be announced soon. A reception will be held after. Public is welcome.

We will greatly miss Lowell’s smile and zealous spirit.
