Loudon Fraser: Jan. 17, 1936 – June 28, 2021

We had to say our final “cheerio” to our Whidbey Island Scotsman on June 28, 2021. Loudon Fraser, a.k.a. Bigloudy and Boppa, died unexpectedly after suffering a cardiac arrest. Loudon was born in Glasgow, Scotland, on Jan. 17, 1936. He has lived on Whidbey Island since 1968. He is survived by his wife Diane; children Heather and Loudy; son-in-law Willy and grandchildren Isla and Aengus. This one-of-a-kind man lived fully and was fully loved. He will be so very missed.

Loudon will have a small family burial with a bagpiper playing “Amazing Grace,” something he said he always wanted. However, he also loved people and fun and festivity. Therefore, we will be having a Celebration of his Life later on this summer. We will announce the date as soon as we know it, and hope that those who knew him can be there to help us raise a toast and send him off with “Loudon stories” (there were a lot of them!), merriment and laughter and tears.
