Lois L. O’Connor

Lois Lorraine O’Connor died April, 9 2006. Born Sept. 12, 1917, Lois was the loving daughter of Frank and Myrtle Kitsman and lived in Ballard. She married Ed ward Eugene O’Connor 71 years ago and is survived by him, her children, Jerry, Joanne and Michael, her 13 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

Lois was a Revlon girl at Frederick & Nelson’s during the 1940’s, and managed the Western Village Estates in Oak Harbor from 1980 until 1988. In between, she was the ultimate sports mom for her children and grandchildren. Supporting her husband’s love of golf and boating Lois became an expert in the art of fishing and gave many a visitor to the Edlo lessons in catching salmon, while posting low scores in the clubhouse. A born humanitarian Lois set a high standard for all to follow. She is much loved and missed by all who knew her ready smile and helping hand.

There will be a memorial gathering of friends and family at Western Village Estates Club House, 225 NE Ernst St., Oak Harbor, Friday, April 14, at 10 a.m.
