Lillian Cronin

Lillian M. Cronin, 89, died April 27, 2003, at Fairhaven Adult Family Home, Oak Harbor. She was born Oct. 21, 1913, in Chicago, to Eugene F. and Elizabeth (Clancy) Cronin. She was one of four children.

In 1942, Lillian began work for the U.S. Navy in Kodiak and Fairbanks, Alaska. In 1945, she transferred to Pier 91 in Seattle. In 1948, she began work as a legal secretary for Whitmore & Vinton law practice as a legal secretary, staying with that firm for more than 30 years.

Lillian lived in Seattle for several years. In 1951, she moved to Indianola, spending most of her adult life commuting on the ferries to work in Seattle. She was a long time member of St. Peter’s Mission Church of Suquamish.

Lillian is survived by one brother Richard A. Cronin of Oak Harbor and Mary T. Behrends of Lombard, Ill., one brother-in-law James Cooper of Shoreline, and by numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass for Lillian Cronin will be celebrated at St. Peter’s Mission Church, Suquamish, Saturday, May 3, at 1 p.m., with burial to follow at Kingston Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Burley Funeral Chapel This obituary is on-line at http://burley.plan4ever.com.
