Leonard Woodall was born July 19, 1923 in Tacoma; he died June 2, 2003, in Yakima.

He and Jean moved to Whidbey Island in 1985. Leonard played drums with almost every musician on the island, and enjoyed them thoroughly.

He was a member of Coupeville United Methodist Church. There will be a memorial and celebration of Leonard’s life at the church Saturday, Sept. 20, at 2 p.m.

He is survived by Jean, three children, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He moved to Yakima in January 2002, but most of his heart stayed on Whidbey.
