Lennart Johansson

C.B. Lennart (Len) Johansson, 73, died May 15, 2003, at his home in Greenbank after a bout with cancer. A memorial service will be held Monday, May 19, at 2 p.m. at Oak Harbor Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his wife Tasca of Greenbank, his son Joel of Hawaii and his brother Donald of Palm Desert, Calif.

Len Johansson was born Aug. 10, 1929, in Newton, Mass. He received a bachelor of science degree from the U.S. Military Academy. After graduating from the United States Military Academy at West Point, N.Y., he entered the United States Air Force. He completed pilot training and flew B-47s and C-123s. He was assigned to the staff of the Air Force and military academies as a tactical officer. In addition, he served in the Vietnam War. He earned a master’s of business administration from University of Southern California

After retiring from the military, he served as an administrator in a Big Eight accounting firm and two law firms in Los Angeles and Arkansas Children’s Colony in Conway, Ark. He was the executive director of the Association of Retarded Citizens in Hilo, Hawaii.

Memorials may be made to the Cancer Wing of St. Jude’s Hospital.
