Leah Ann Bowen: June 22, 1937 – Oct. 11, 2019

Leah Ann Bowen, long time resident of Oak Harbor, Wash., passed away peacefully on Oct. 11, 2019. She was born to John and Noella Carolus, on June 22, 1937. Leah Ann attended schools in the Yakima Valley, graduating from St. Joseph Academy in1955.

Leah Ann is survived by her daughters Michelle Clark, of Marana, Ariz., and Rebecca Goodwin, of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho; her brother Raymond Carolus; sister Bobbie Morton, also of Oak Harbor; grandsons Jacob Harrison and Garrett Harrison, of Idaho; and many other beloved family and friends.

Leah Ann was a multi-talented artist. Her work in drawings, oil painting and fine wood carving is treasured. Leah Ann was also a musician, playing piano. She possessed an angelic singing voice. She worked as a model in her youth. Her greatest gift was her nurturing love and care for all of her family. We are deeply grateful for the time we shared with her. Her presence will be greatly missed. Her love and kind example will endure.

A graveside service for her will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, at Holy Rosary Cemetery in Moxee, Wash.
