Ken Lobejko started his “final ride” on July 15, 2012 after a five month battle with pancreatic cancer. He left us as he lived –HIS WAY — with love for his wife, Barb; love of family and friends, laughter, stories, strength and a never ending sense of humor.
He was born 69 years ago in Minneapolis and later served his country in the Army which included three years in VietNam. He received numerous awards, including the Bronze Star, Purple Heart and other medals.
Upon leaving the military Ken worked at Boeing, retiring in 2006 to Whidbey Island.
Ken is survived by a loving wife, brother Jim of Cottage Grove, Min., sister Barbara of Orland, Fl.; and four children, Linnea, Laura (Jonathan), Leslie (Kurt) Mike (Tami), and nine grandkids, Carmelle, Max, Kyla, Kennedy, Bennett, Carsyn, Elle, Liam and Madisyn.
We will forever remember his fabulous “Killer” tacos!
