Kellie Ann Carrion, age 53, passed away suddenly on Aug. 17, 2015, at her home in Oak Harbor.
Kellie was born April 24, 1962, in Seattle.
She lived in Granite Falls before moving to Oak Harbor in 1976. She graduated from Oak Harbor High School in 1980.
Kellie lived four years in California, obtaining her nursing degree from Ventura Community College. She moved back to Washington and became a registered nurse and worked 27 years for Island Hospital. She was loved and respected by the staff and patients there and she will be missed. Kellie loved the outdoors, animals and spending time with her family and friends. She loved traveling and enjoyed taking cruises with her family and friends. She traveled to Hawaii, Texas and New York, as well as many Washington locations.
She had a generous heart and was loved, and, in turn, loved everyone. She was touched by all of those she met through her years at Island Hospital and in her personal life.
Kellie was preceded in death by her father Douglas Harris and her mother Glenda Bigley (Weinrick). She is survived by her daughter Chelsea Carrion and her brother Kenny Harris. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Sept. 19 at Church on the Rock in Oak Harbor. A lunch reception is to follow. Please bring a dessert to share.
