John Joseph Quinn, Jr.: Oct. 14, 1944 – Nov. 24, 2019

John Joseph Quinn Jr., 75, of Oak Harbor, Wash., left us on Nov. 24, 2019 in Katy, Texas, after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born on Oct. 14, 1944, to John and Mary Quinn in Medford, Mass.

John was full of life and brought a smile to all who knew him. He was a fixture around Oak Harbor for over 40 years and would often be spotted at Starbucks, Walmart and Applebee’s — his favorite places. In March, John left Oak Harbor and moved in with his daughter and son in law in Houston. He spent his final months surrounded by family, making memories and soaking up the Texas sun.

John is survived by his daughters Bridgett Webber and her husband Luke of Fulshear, Texas, Sayward Spalding and partner Aaron Takala of Spokane, Wash., grandaughter Jordan Spalding of Duvall, Wash., grandson Mason Takala of Spokane, Wash., sister Mary Adams of Plymouth, Mass. , niece Amanda Burke of Plymouth, Mass., nephew Andrew Adams of Andover, Mass. and extended family Bryan, Mary and Easton Spalding of Duvall, Wash.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy, and his parents.

At John’s request, there will be no services.
