Joel “Joey” Norman Conner, 42, of Tacna, Ariz., passed away April 6, 2006 from complications due to strokes.

He was born Dec. 6, 1963 in Placerville, Calif., and retired from the Navy in March 2005. Joey served our country with great pride and honor.

Joel is survived by his mother, Harriet Conner, of Tacna; sons, Tony Rooney of Snohomish, and Eric Conner of Oak Harbor; daughter, Amy Conner of Oak Harbor; wife for nine years, Karen Conner of Oak Harbor; brother, David Conner of Sentinel, Ariz.; sister, Cindy Womack of Tacna; and all his many friends and extended family. Joey was a good son, father, brother and friend. He will be missed by all.

Services were held April 11 at Mountain View Memorial Gardens, Mesa, Ariz.
