Joel Andrew Wheat, of Coupeville, Wash., passed away in the early morning hours of March 25, 2019 at WhidbeyHealth Medical Center in Coupeville from complications from diabetes.

Joel was born Nov. 27, 1987 at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island Hospital in Oak Harbor.

Joel was 31 years old and leaves behind a slew of family, and his daughter, Kierra Wheat.

He graduated from Coupeville High School class of 2007.

He worked for the Boeing Co. in Everett, Wash., as a mechanic and had often volunteered his time to coach and umpire for Little League.

Joel was dearly loved by his family and will be missed.

Until we reunite, Joel will live on in our memories and hearts.
