Jo Ann F. Myers, 74, died at Whidbey Island Manor in Oak Harbor June 9, 2003. She was born Dec. 12, 1928, in Kansas City, Mo., to Joseph and Monta Rose Murphy. She was married to Raymond M. Myers in Kansas City, Kan., May 23, 1947.

The couple came to Oak Harbor in 1966. Ray was assigned to VA-196, NAMTG and VA-95; he retired in 1974. Jo Ann worked at the Navy Exchange for many years. They spent their winters in Yuma, Ariz., and summers in Oak Harbor.

She is survived by son Paul Myers, U.S. Air Force retired and wife Ruth of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; daughter Fawn Marie Struthers and husband Dan of Payson, Ariz., and daughter Peri Ann and husband Milan of Kirkland. She is also survived by many grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Cremation was arranged through the Neptune Society with private family inurnment. Remembrances may be made to the American Cancer Society and Hospice.
