Jeffery Lynn Davis, 52, died at his home in Oak Harbor on April 14, 2007. He was born to Ernie and Doreen (Belot) Davis in Boise, Idaho on August 22, 1954.
Jeff enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1978. He enjoyed various jobs, including Commissaryman, Operations Specialist, Combat Air Controller, Navy Law enforcement Trainer and Supervisor, and Aircrew Survival Equipmentman. His career had him stationed on seven different ships and three shore stations. He retired from the Navy in 1998 at NAS Whidbey after a three-year tour with the Search and Rescue Unit.
Jeff made Whidbey Island his home for 12 years. He was employed by Interwest Savings Bank for several years and was working at Whidbey General Hospital at the time of his death. He was active in community service and youth soccer organizations. He was a longtime member of Family Bible Church.
Jeff is survived by his wife Sheri of Oak Harbor and by two children: Breanna Bowman and husband Noah of Oak Harbor and Trevor Davis, a student at Central Washington University, Ellensburg. One son, Jared Davis, preceded him in death in 2004.
Jeff Davis requested no formal funeral services be conducted. Cremation was held with burial at sea to follow at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to Burley Funeral Chapel, Oak Harbor.
