Jean Perry, formerly of Newport, New York, died Sept. 14, 2006 at Whidbey General Hospital. Jean was born Dec. 11, 1941 to Charles and Beulah Warmuth.
Jean married Kenneth Maurice Perry on April 20, 1959 in Newport. The U.S. Navy brought Jean and Ken to Whidbey Island in 1966. Ken retired from the Navy in 1976. Jean and Ken raised a happy family on Whidbey Island and they have loved living here.
Jean loved to crochet and knit. She also had a love for cats, Labradors, and wildlife. Jean’s greatest gift was her gift of love and devotion, to her husband, and her family.
Jean is survived by her husband Ken of 47 years at the family home in Oak Harbor; her mother, Beulah Saltsman of Little Falls, N.Y.; her sister Kathy Klock; two brothers, Daniel and Raymond Warmuth of Little Falls; her son Wayne Perry of Sultan, Wash.; grandson Jeff Perry of Oak Harbor; granddaughter Jenn Molnar of Arlington, Wash.; and several nieces and nephews.
At the family’s request there will be no public service in Oak Harbor. Services and burial will take place at a later date in Newport, N.Y.
