Ivy Lynn Cobban: Sept. 17, 1956 – Feb. 17, 2019

Ivy moved quietly into eternity surrounded by the love of her family on Sunday, Feb. 17, 2019.

Ivy resided in Coupeville for over 17 years.

A gypsy soul, Ivy has lived in many locales around the world including England, Japan, California, Oregon, Florida and Vermont. Possessing an amazing intellect, Ivy traveled through life on her own terms.

She loved to research genealogy with a special interest in her Celtic ancestry; she followed national politics daily, and was a fearless and fabulous cook who would try her hand at any cooking challenge.

Of primary importance to Ivy was maintaining her loving connection with daughter Mara.

Ivy was preceded in death by her father and her infant brother, James S. Cobban Sr. and Jr., respectively, as well as her beloved mother, Emily Ramsey. She is survived by her daughter Mara, from Southern California, her stepfather, Sal Rizzo, of Coupeville, and her two sisters, Tracie, of Massachusetts, and Dee Dee, of Oregon.

An example of how to live life in her own unique style, we all yearn for her to find the solace and light that she sought in this life. Her beaming smile will be missed, and Ivy will be mourned and grieved but never forgotten.
