Peggy Jane Huseby, 78, was born Oct. 31, 1927 in Filer, Idaho to Elmer Cecil and Opal Joyce Crist. She passed away Jan. 11, 2006 in Seattle.

She graduated from Toppenish High School in 1945. She married DeWane Norman Huseby on June 7, 1947 in Bellingham. They Moved to Oak Harbor in 1948. Peggy was a homemaker, mother and caregiver. Peggy was a great friend and neighbor; she was a kind caregiver to DeWane, a loving mother and an active member of the Huseby clan.

She is survived by her Husband of 59 years, DeWane Huseby; two daughters, Kathleen Taylor and her husband Jerry of Lake Oswego, Ore., and Bonnie George and her husband Ron of Stanwood; three grandchildren, Cynthia Revis and her husband Scott, Ian Peasley and Garth George; three great-grandchildren, Paul Revis, Syrina Revis and Samantha Peasley; and a large extended family in the area. A memorial service was held Jan. 13 at Hawthorne Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the care of Hawthorne Funeral Home and On-Site Crematory, 1825 E. College Way, Mount Vernon.
