Heriberto “Ed” Basoco: Sept. 11, 1946 – Nov. 18, 2018

On Nov. 18, 2018 our amazing father made his final journey to heaven. Heriberto “Ed” Basoco passed quietly away with his daughters at his side.

Ed was born in El Paso, Texas on Sept. 11, 1946 to Manual and Soledad Basoco. At the age of 16, the family moved to Los Angeles where he attended Crenshaw High School prior to being drafted into the Army where he served his full tour of duty at Fort Lewis, Wash.

He is survived by his daughters Mimi Basoco of Mount Vernon, Meri Basoco Tracey (Joseph) of Oak Harbor, Arianna Basoco (Jason White) of Oak Harbor and grandchildren children Madison, Mackinzee, Sawyer and Annaleah, and great granddaughter Skylar of Oak Harbor. Also surviving are his sisters Dora Garcia and Eloisa Hawley of Los Angeles and brother Hector Basoco of Phoenix, Ariz.. He was preceded in death by his partner of 15 years, Carol Steem, his parents, brother Fernando Basoco and sister Manuela, as well as his beloved granddaughter Courtney Basoco.

Celebration of life will be held at a later time. Date and time to be announced.
