Herb C. Maserang: October 8, 1934 – October 9, 2022

Herbert Claude Maserang (Herb Day) passed peace fully on October 9, 2022, in Coupeville, Washington at the age of 88. Herb loved music and received his first guitar in the 3rd grade. He would take it to school and practice with classmates during recess. At the age of 16 he had his own band, and they had their own radio show in Mobile, Alabama. In the late 60’s he entertained nightly at the Desert Inn Hotel on the Strip in Las Vegas, Nevada. Herb enjoyed traveling and entertaining our Military Troops in Greenland in 1957 and Vietnam in the 60’s. In the 80’s Herb and his wife Jo moved to Oak Harbor, Washington where they enjoyed performing and entertaining around Whidbey Island as the Herb Day and Jo Dee Duo.

Herb is survived by his daughter Patricia Latham, grandson Scott, great grand son Knox, sister Marlene Smith (Curtis), brother-in law Ken Mielke (Carol) and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
