Geraldine (Jeri) Margret Elm, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, died of a stroke at age 70 on Aug. 6, 2004, at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

Jeri was born in Philadelphia, Pa., on Dec. 13, 1933, to Elwood and Francis Huet. She attended parochial school in Philadelphia, enrolled in nurses training at St. Agnes Hospital and graduated as a registered nurse in 1955. She worked several years as a charge nurse in the emergency room at St. Agnes Hospital. She later joined the U.S. Navy and served in the Nurses Corps, where she met her husband to be, John.

Jeri was preceded in death by her father and mother. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, a son David, granddaughters Ashley and Emma, a brother Harry Huet, a sister Lillian Drozdowski, and step-mother Mary Huet of Philadelphia.

At Jeri’s request there will be no services. In lieu of flowers the family wishes that donations be made to Skagit Valley Hospital Kidney Center.
