Geraldine Russell Folks, 81, died Aug. 7, 2003, at Whidbey Island Manor, Oak Harbor. Geraldine was born July 16, 1922, in Ozark, Ark., to Harold and Lois (Davidson) Russell.

Mrs. Folks was raised in Arkansas and Missouri and then spent 50 years in Meridian, Miss. She moved to Kirkland for four years and then moved to Oak Harbor in 1994.

Mrs. Folks was an avid collector of Betty Boop memorabilia. She also enjoyed reading and spending time with family.

Mrs. Folks is survived by two daughters, Sherry Running and husband Michael of Oak Harbor and Terry Kassahn and husband Jesse of Kirkland. Her husband Hubert Stanley Folks and her parents preceded her in death.

Mrs. Folks requested no formal funeral services be held. Cremation and private family inurnment are under the direction of Burley Funeral Chapel, Oak Harbor.
