Gerald Raymond Hart

Gerald Raymond Hart, 70, of Marysville, passed away in the early morning hours of Feb. 1, 2008.

He was born May 14, 1937, in Kansas City, Mo., to Lena Potts and Walter Hart. He was one of seven children.

Gerald joined the United States Navy in September of 1957 and served 22 years, honorably, retiring as a chief petty officer in August of 1979. He was a proud veteran of Vietnam. He spent the remainder of his working years as an electrician and communications specialist. Gerald enjoyed all sports and spent many weekends golfing. He will be remembered most for his quiet strength, gentle disposition and sly sense of humor.

He is survived by his loving wife, Gloria, five children and their spouses, 16 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.

Gerald will be honored in a small memorial service with military honors at Rocky Point on Whidbey Island, where he spent many years of his military service, on Saturday, Feb. 23, at 2 p.m.

Gerald will be missed greatly by all those who knew him.
