Gabe died tragically in a motorcycle accident on Jan. 8, 2012. He was born on Oct. 8, 1943 to Lester and Fern (Adams) Tappe in Wadena, Minn. Services will be held at Burley Funeral Chapel, 30 SE Ely St., Oak Harbor on Feb. 18, 2012. Viewing at 10 a.m., Services at 1 p.m. Burial at Sunnyside Cemetery in Coupeville. Reception to follow at Coupeville Recreation Hall 901 Northwest Alexander St. In lieu of flowers, a fund has been established at Wells Fargo for Gale and Joan Tappe.
