Ernest Noble

Ernest Noble passed away Sept. 4, 2005 on Whidbey Island.

Ernest was born on Nov. 14, 1909 in Reardon, Wash. He spent most of his childhood in Chinook, Canada.

Ernest came to Langley when he was in high school. His father came to Langley as an owner of the Langley State Bank.

In World War II after a term in the military, he became a banker with his brother. He was the only banker after his brother’s death.

For many years Ernest was active in the community. He was a member of the Masons and Lions. He was a Langley mayor and on the city council. Ernest started Good Cheer and the senior center.

Ernest leaves his wife Maxine, and sons Ted and Robert.
