Elaine Virgene McKelvie Fabrizio

Elaine Fabrizio was called home to Jesus on Jan. 15, 2008. Elaine was born on April 18, 1920, in Cass Lake, Minn. She lived in Seattle for 24 years prior to moving to Whidbey Island in 1972, and then to Ferndale in 1990. Elaine lived her life helping others. As a beautician she provided services for those who were elderly and shut-in. She taught vacation Bible school when her children were young and she worked for several years in the veterinary clinic in Ballard. Elaine also served lunches in the Senior Center after retiring. She helped her children and grandchildren when needed.

Elaine’s greatest joys were spending time with her family, her dear friends Ina Pearson and Harold and Gerda Kemp, and her many dogs over the years. Elaine has been a lifetime member of the Baptist Church, most recently she attended Sunrise Baptist. She was preceded in death by her son Vince, Jr., and her husband of 33 years, Elmer Fabrizio. She is survived by her stepson Robert Lockerman and two daughters, Barbara A. Atwood (Bill) and Kathy J. Rogers (Jim); grandchildren Lisa, Shawn, Mark, Jennifer (Bill), Karen (Jeff), Brian, Megan (Josh), Jason and Kathy; great-grandchildren Kirsten, Jacob, Anna, Jordan, Clayton and Caitlyn.

Visitation was held Jan. 18 at Westford Funeral Home followed by a Celebration of Life at Sunrise Baptist Church, 2480 W. Badger Rd., Custer. Graveside services at Bayview Cemetery on South Whidbey will be Saturday, Jan 19, at 1 p.m. You may view photos and share memories with the family at www.westfordfuneralhome.com.
