Elaine Sepulveda

Elaine Amanda “Mandi” Sepulveda, 15, died Nov. 6, 2004. in Oak Harbor.  She was born in El Paso, Texas, March 30, 1989.  Mindy spent the first seven years of her life in El Paso.  In 1996, she became a military dependent and moved with her family to Lemoore, Calif., where they stayed until 2003.  She was a member of the Honor Band, playing the clarinet.  In 2004, she made Oak Harbor her home.

Mandi was a member of the sophomore class at Oak Harbor High School.  She enjoyed reading, swimming, playing her guitar, playing video games and karaoke.

Mandi is survived by her mother and stepfather, Mary and Juan “Ben” Jimenez of Oak Harbor; by three sisters, Angela Sepulveda and Maegan and Alyssa Jimenez and a nephew Jaycob Gonzalez, all of Oak Harbor.  She is survived by her grandparents, Mary and Jose Luis Loa and grandmother Maria Esther Jimenez, all of El Paso, by her aunts Bertha Orona and husband Jerry of Phoenix, Ariz., and Ruby Jimenez of El Paso. Carlos Sepulveda, Jr., of El Paso and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.

A memorial service for Elaine Sepulveda was held at Oak Harbor High School Jan. 20, with Pastor Dave Veach of Living Word Fellowship officiating.  A memorial service will be held at Mount Carmel Funeral Chapel, El Paso, Monday, Jan. 24, at 2:30 p.m., with Pastor Dave Veach officiating.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Socorro Mission with urn burial to follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery, El Paso.
