Master Chief Petty Officer Earl Allen Hodges, USN (Ret), died Oct. 4, 2003, after several months of battling a cancer in his lungs.
Memorial services will be held at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Oak Harbor Saturday, Oct. 11, at 1 p.m. A reception will follow in the church hall. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that remembrances in the master chief’s name be directed to the Salvation Army. A complete obituary will appear in the Oct. 11 Whidbey News-Times.
