Dorothy Lucile Kirschman, 91, longtime Oak Harbor resident, died Feb. 15, 2006 at Careage of Whidbey.
Mrs. Kirschman was born in Coleman, Mich., on April 25, 1914, to Fred Mann and Anna (Bissell) Mann. She was raised in Laingsburg, Mich., but later moved to Southern California. She was married to the late Spencer Kirschman. They moved to Whidbey Island in 1959, and together owned and operated Harbor Light Auto Wrecking Co. of Oak Harbor. Dorothy was a member of the Oak Harbor Lutheran Church. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking and her family and friends.
Dorothy is survived by one son, Spencer Eugene Kirschman and wife Anne of Tacoma; ten grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Spencer; by two daughters, Dorothy Lam and Nancy Hughes.
A Memorial Celebration will be Monday, Feb. 20, 1 p.m. at Oak Harbor Lutheran Church, Pastor Laurie Johnson officiating. Inurnment will be private. Memorials may be made to the Oak Harbor Lutheran Church. Arrangements by Burley Funeral Chapel.
