Dorothea ‘Dottie’ Anna Austin: Sept. 4, 1925 – Jan. 4, 2020

Dorothea (Dottie) Anna Austin passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family.

She was born in Holyoke, Mass.

Dorothea is survived by her two children and three step children: Diane Davis (daughter) and Mike Davis, of Oak Harbor, Wash.; Elmer Humphrey (son) and Barbie Humphrey, of Waxahachie, Texas; Laura Tayon (step-daughter) of Hartland, Mich.; Joy Brown (step-daughter) and Bud Brown, of Prescott, Ariz.; June Austin(step-daughter) of Maple Falls, Wash.

Dorothea is survived by her grandchildren: Marcie and Ali Johnston; Jenny and Navor Tercero; Katie Wallace, and Jacob Humphrey; and her great grandchildren, Beck, Joey, and Judah Tirado, Jake, Seth, Carmen, and Gus Tercero, and Evan, Owen, Alex, Eryk, Anya, and Esme Wallace.

Dottie was a friend and comfort to all she knew. Many have commented on how she encouraged people. She was a godly mother. Her testimony and teachings will continue to live on through her family.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 3 p.m. March 9 at Church on the Rock in Oak Harbor, Wash. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer a donation to Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child. She loved to pack shoebox gifts to bless impoverished children overseas through this program!
