Dolores Morris: Oct. 14, 1929 – July 6, 2019

In Loving Memory

On July 6, 2019, Dolores Morris went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She joins her sons, Ronald Vassar and Jim Morris. Dolores was surrounded by family at her son’s home when she left us to be with God.

Dolores was born on Long Island, N.Y., on Oct. 14, 1929, and lived in multiple cities across the U.S. as the wife of a Navy man.

She moved to Whidbey Island, Wash., during the winter of 1965 and began working at the Chief’s Club in Oak Harbor, Wash. Two years later, she met her husband, William Morris, and they were wed on June 13, 1971. Together, they built a wonderful life of 50-plus years.

Dolores ended her working career serving the elderly and those that needed a little help to get by.

Dolores is survived by her husband, William Morris; daughter, Barbara Thompson, and her husband, Dennis Thompson; son, Richard Morris, and his wife, Mary Morris; daughter, Patricia Morris, and her husband, Philippe Bihet; son, Robert Vassar, and his wife, Karen Vassar; and daughter, Tammy Armstrong; along with countless grandchildren and great grandchildren.
